Again, creative use of faces on trees for your concept. I would add a little more contrast to some of these images because some of these trees don't stand out enough from the background. Other than that, great work!
the photoshop on these is very well done, and you achieve the faces in the trees. Are you trying to pick one, or will you use all of them? if you're planning on using them all, they'll need to be sort of large to show the detail.
i think you were able to achieve your concept very well, but i am guessing that these will be presented more like a series rather than all on one page?
These are good examples, but to the uninitiated they might appear just to be trees unless you choose to present them in a way that clearly focuses on the work you did.
I really like the way you didn't get caught up in one image but worked on multiple ones, as if you were devising your own individual characters inspired by the different trees. Personally, I enjoy the more subtle ones such as "Owen" where the viewer might wonder whether or not the look of a face is real. Your concept reminds me of how we are always looking for faces in things and often see spirits in nature.
They all seem to have their own personality which is great! I would try to experiment with the idea of a different background or setting that you create. A cocktail party might be fun to try. I'm interested to see the final piece!
I'm looking forward to see how you matte these together on a board. I'm having trouble see some of the trees as faces, such as Frankry and Fred. Also the background on Frankry seems too dark.
Hi Sam I'm still not sure what you're planning to do with these images. Are you going to composited into one large image? Will they be presented separately? It might be fun to see them in a new environment. Compositionally these images so far or just okay. Instead of a composite it might be fun to place them and in an entirely new environment. I also think it's a tad hard to see the faces in some unless you establish that as a series early on. The trick is to make the viewer see the faces but not at first. Good luck, ed
Man, every single time I try to post something it either disappears or deletes itself. Anyway... what I said was, I feel like there's some sort of family drama from looking at all of their facial expressions. Haha. Also, it's harder for me to make our Fred's face than the others. Also, like everyone else has said, I'm curious how they're all going to come together and connect. I'd hate for any of them to lose any detail...i feel like that would be easy to do since the faces are so well camouflaged in. Other than that, great idea, I look forward to seeing the end result.
